Kendo Bogu Set (professionally cleaned), Bogu Bag, Shinai Bag - For Middle School Beginners
The men (mask), tare (apron), and kote (gloves) have been professionally cleaned. While they are used and not in new condition, they are still in respectable shape. Please review the photos, which accurately represent the items, before making a decision. There are no strong odors or significant stains specific to used items, but please understand they are not completely odorless.
The men's drawstring has been replaced with a new one. There are no tears. The white areas visible inside the men in the photos are from the drawstring rubbing and are not sweat stains.
The do's (body protector) drawstring has been replaced with a new one. Some of the leather stitching on the do's frame has been repaired. This does not affect usability. Approximate dimensions: Width (measured at the back) 38 cm, Height (at the front shoulders) 37 cm.
The kote (gloves) have 2-3 small holes and some fraying on the inner leather. These are consumable parts, and repairs are possible at specialty shops, or you can use commercially available repair kits. I kept them as they are because the feel changes after repair. Since the holes are small, you can use them as they are if you don't mind.
The tare (apron) should be usable without any particular issues. Approximate dimensions: 37 cm at the center front.
The bogu bag (protective gear bag) has a zipper on the side that opens wide for easy access. There is no stickiness inside due to hydrolysis. The inner bottom board and the bottom itself are undamaged. Please check the photos.
The shinai bag (bamboo sword bag) can hold two shinai inside and has an external loop and pocket for carrying a bokuto (wooden sword). There is no stickiness or dirt inside, but there is some white powder from the shinai's grip wraps. It includes a shoulder strap and a tsuba (hand guard) pocket.
• The name embroidery in the photos has been blurred out but will be removed before shipping.
• Finally, for first-time buyers, choosing the right size based on height can be a concern. I'd like to share some dimensions from a retailer as a reference.
A do size of 37 cm is considered medium, with an estimated height range of 145 to 165 cm. The child who used this gear was about 160 cm tall and of average build at the end of their growth. Be mindful that a do that is too large can be uncomfortable. (This gear was used to achieve Nidan rank, so it's not considered unlucky equipment.)
• If you have any questions, please ask, and I will answer to the best of my knowledge. Please note that returns are not accepted.
