Antique French Openwork Lace Scalloped Frill Trim Linen Cloth Doily

A handmade piece from France.

This square doily or tray cloth features a refreshing, eye-catching white base with accents of apricot, mango, orange, and loquat. The vibrant, vitamin-colored details on the petals bring a bright and energetic feeling. The scalloped edging, crafted with crochet and bobbin lace, creates a cool and elegant impression on the wavy-cut linen fabric.

The delicate crochet yarn is used to create a frilled effect, with hand-knitted scallops and inserts of glossy, orange bobbin lace, adding a touch of splendor to this piece.

There are no major stains or tears, and it is in beautiful condition. However, there is one tiny pinhole-sized hole, possibly caused by a thread pull, with a short line scratch following it. (The last three images may show this clearly).

Additionally, very faint, small, pale brown spots, smaller than a pinhead, can be found upon close inspection. While they are not very noticeable, this item is recommended for those who do not mind such minor imperfections.

Perfect for tables, trays, chests, and cabinets.
It also looks lovely draped and displayed on a shelf.
