Alvarez Yairi DY-40SB
This is a DY-403 sunburst model from Alvarez (K. Yairi), a high-quality acoustic guitar maker proudly made in Japan. The neck has no significant warping. There are minor indentations on the frets from the 1st to 7th fret, but overall, about 70% of the fret life remains. The string height at the 12th fret is approximately 2.5mm. As you can see in the photos, there are hairline cracks on the back of the headstock and at the base of the neck. I acquired this guitar used, so the exact circumstances are unclear, but the cracks on the headstock appear shallow and seem to be only on the surface of the finish. Currently, the cracks do not widen when tuned, and the guitar can be played normally. Please understand this point. This guitar resonates well from low to high frequencies. It also features an interesting bridge shape and a clear pickguard. The tasteful sunburst finish gives it a dignified presence reminiscent of a Gibson J-45. Alvarez is K. Yairi's overseas brand, and it is a highly regarded Japanese-made guitar used by musicians such as Paul McCartney and Ritchie Blackmore. The K. Yairi brand itself is also favored by prominent musicians like Keisuke Kuwata, Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi, and Takahiro Matsumoto.
The guitar will be shipped with cushioning material and a cardboard box.
