The third photo shows the stone when wet.
Grit: #2000 and above.
Photos of polishing marks are included. (Polishing marks from artificial whetstones #1000/#2000 are from Hakai no Kuro Maku.)
Polishing method: Polished SS400 mild steel with artificial whetstone #1000, then polished for approximately 2 minutes.
Magnification: 120x.
Please note that the stone may have been treated with Natural Whetstone Curing Material Ishisan to prevent cracking. This does not affect sharpening.
We believe that placing this stone between the finishing stone and the blade will result in faster and cleaner finishes.
If you sharpen after creating slurry with a diamond whetstone, it will be very efficient.
For purchases of ¥5,000 or more (including combined purchases), we will include one or two coppa whetstones (sample photos shown) as a free gift.
Regardless of the purchase amount, we will also include approximately two offcuts (sample photos shown) as a free gift. These can be used as nagura to create slurry for better sharpening. They are also useful for rust removal, etc.
